Built for real API data
Why use this JSON to CSV converter
Simple converters only work when JSON starts with a flat list. Real responses wrap the data in objects, nest it and mix in arrays. This one handles all of that.
Finds your data array
API responses often hide rows inside results, data or items. We detect every list and pick the biggest, and you can switch.
Flattens nested objects
Nested fields become clear columns like address.city, so every value lands in its own cell.
Your choice for arrays
Join array values into one cell, spread them across columns, or keep them as JSON text.
Preview and pick columns
See the table before you download, and click any column to leave it out of the file.
CSV back to JSON
Convert spreadsheets to JSON with numbers and true or false detected, and dotted headers rebuilt into nested objects.
Private and Excel-ready
Files never leave your device. Downloads open cleanly in Excel with accents and symbols intact.

How to convert JSON to CSV
Five steps from JSON to a spreadsheet.
Add your JSON
Paste it, drop a .json file on the box, or open a file from your device.
Check where rows come from
We pick the largest list automatically. Choose another from the dropdown if needed.
Choose how to handle nesting
Flatten nested objects into dotted columns and decide how arrays should appear.
Review the preview
Scroll the table and click any column you do not want in the file.
Download or copy
Download a CSV or TSV file that opens in Excel or Google Sheets, or copy the text.
How it works
How nested JSON becomes a CSV table
CSV is a flat table of rows and columns, while JSON can nest objects inside objects and lists inside lists. To convert, each item in your data list becomes one row, and every nested field is given a column name that shows its path, joined with dots.
For example, a customer object with an address object inside it produces columns like name, address.city and address.pin. Arrays such as tags can be joined into one cell or spread across tags.0, tags.1 and so on.
Converting CSV to JSON
Going the other way, each row becomes an object and each header becomes a key. Values that look like numbers or true and false become real numbers and booleans, while codes with leading zeros, like 007, stay as text. Headers with dots are rebuilt into nested objects.

JSON to CSV converter FAQs
How do I convert JSON to CSV?
Paste your JSON or open a .json file. The converter finds the list of records, turns each item into a row and each field into a column, and shows a preview. Then download the CSV or copy it.
Can it convert nested JSON to CSV?
Yes. Nested objects are flattened into dotted column names such as address.city. Arrays can be joined into one cell, spread across numbered columns, or kept as JSON text.
What if my JSON is not a simple array?
Most API responses wrap the data in an object, for example under results or data. The converter lists every array it finds and picks the largest one as the rows. You can choose a different one from the dropdown.
How do I open the CSV in Excel without broken characters?
Keep Excel-friendly file ticked. It adds a small marker that tells Excel the file uses UTF-8, so accents, the rupee sign and other symbols display correctly. If your Excel uses semicolons, choose the semicolon delimiter.
Can I convert CSV back to JSON?
Yes. Switch to CSV to JSON, then paste your CSV or open a .csv file. Each row becomes an object, numbers and true or false values are detected, and headers with dots are rebuilt into nested objects.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything is converted inside your browser. Your JSON and CSV never leave your device.
How large a file can I convert?
Files up to 50 MB can be opened. Very large files may be slow on older devices. The preview shows the first 200 rows, while the download includes every row.
What is the difference between CSV and TSV?
Both are plain-text tables. CSV separates values with commas and TSV with tabs. TSV is handy when your data contains many commas, such as addresses.
Why are some values in quotes in the CSV?
Values that contain the delimiter, quotes or line breaks are wrapped in double quotes so spreadsheet apps read them as a single cell. This follows the standard CSV format.
