Random Number Generator
Generate one random number or a thousand, between any two values you choose. Pick a range, set how many you need, switch off duplicates for a fair draw, and get an unbiased result instantly — drawn from your browser's cryptographic randomness, not a predictable formula.
- Crypto-grade randomness
- Up to 1,000 numbers at once
- No-repeat draws
- Copy in one tap
Generate random numbers

Why this random number generator is better
Most generators give you one number between 1 and 100 and nothing else. This one covers the way people actually use random numbers — draws, shuffles, samples and fair picks.
Genuinely unbiased draws
Values come from your browser's cryptographic random source with rejection sampling to remove modulo bias — not the predictable pseudo-random formula most sites still use.
No-repeat mode for fair picks
Draw six lottery numbers, shuffle a list or pick winners from numbered tickets without the same value appearing twice.
Bulk generation up to 1,000
Need a sample, a test dataset or a whole class list randomised? Generate the full set in one draw and copy it straight out.
Decimals and negative ranges
Works with negative minimums and up to four decimal places, so it handles simulations and measurements as easily as raffle tickets.
Stats with every draw
Sum, average, lowest and highest values plus the odds of any single outcome, calculated automatically so you can sanity-check the result.
Presets and history
One tap for dice, coin flips, PINs or a 6/49 lottery line, and your last five draws stay on screen so you can compare them.
How to use the random number generator
Three inputs and a button. Presets fill everything in for the most common draws.
Set your range
Enter the lowest and highest numbers you want. Both ends are included, so a 1 to 6 range can return a 1 or a 6. Negative values are accepted.
Choose how many
One number for a single pick, or up to 1,000 for a bulk draw. Add decimal places if you need fractional values rather than whole numbers.
Turn on no-repeats if it matters
For raffles, shuffles and lottery lines, switch on no repeats so each number appears only once. Sort ascending if you want them in order.
Generate, then copy
Tap Generate for an instant draw and Copy to put the results on your clipboard as a comma-separated list, ready to paste anywhere.
What people use it for
Anywhere a decision needs to be provably fair rather than merely convenient.
- Giveaways and raffles. Number your entries, draw with no repeats, and screen-record the result for a transparent winner selection.
- Classroom picks. Choose a student, split a class into groups or randomise presentation order without anyone feeling singled out.
- Research sampling. Select participants, assign treatment groups or pick rows from a numbered dataset for an unbiased sample.
- Games without dice. Roll a d6, d20 or any custom die, flip a coin or generate board-game outcomes when the physical set is missing pieces.
- Testing and development. Produce quick sets of random values for spreadsheets, mock data, load tests or QA scenarios.
- Settling small decisions. Who goes first, which restaurant, which chore — assign a number to each option and let the draw decide.
Random number generator FAQs
How the draws work, and where the limits are.
Are these numbers truly random?
They are cryptographically secure pseudo-random numbers, generated by your browser's own random source, which is seeded from unpredictable system entropy. That is the same class of randomness used to create encryption keys, and it is far stronger than the simple formula behind most online generators. True physical randomness would require atmospheric or quantum noise, but for raffles, games, sampling and everyday fairness this is more than sufficient.
Can the same number appear twice?
Yes, unless you switch on no repeats. Independent draws behave like rolling a die: getting the same value twice in a row is normal, not a fault. When no repeats is enabled, each value is removed from the pool once drawn, so every number in the set is unique.
Does the range include the minimum and maximum?
Both ends are included. A range of 1 to 10 can return 1 or 10, giving ten possible outcomes with an equal chance each. This is worth checking against other tools, since some exclude the upper bound and quietly skew your results.
How do I generate lottery numbers?
Set the range to match your game, set how many numbers the line needs, and turn on no repeats and sort ascending. The 6/49 preset does all of this in one tap. For a bonus ball drawn from a separate pool, run a second draw with the appropriate range.
Can I generate negative or decimal numbers?
Yes to both. Enter a negative minimum for ranges that cross zero, and choose up to four decimal places for fractional values. No repeats is available for decimals too, although with a wide range and high precision a duplicate is extremely unlikely anyway.
Why can I not draw 20 unique numbers from a range of 10?
Because there are only ten distinct values available. With no repeats on, the number you ask for cannot exceed the size of the range. Either widen the range, lower the count, or turn no repeats off to allow duplicates.
Is anything I generate saved or sent anywhere?
No. Every draw happens locally in your browser. Nothing is transmitted to a server, logged to an account or written to a database, and the recent draws list disappears when you close the tab.
Can I use this for a public giveaway?
Yes, and it is a common use. Assign a number to each entry, state the range publicly before drawing, then record the draw on screen. Because the tool is free and needs no account, anyone watching can repeat the process and verify the range you used.
