Most coin flippers give you a spinning picture and a word. This one is built to be provably fair, fun to use and useful for real decisions, games and probability lessons.
Every toss uses your browser's cryptographic random number generator, the same source used to create secure passwords, not a predictable formula.
A spinning coin with a real edge, a toss arc, a shadow and a landing chime. Tap the coin, press Space or hit Flip coin.
Call heads or tails before each flip and see how often you guess right, with streaks, percentages and a full flip history.
Rename the sides to Pizza and Tacos, Team A and Team B or Yes and No, and the result shows your option in big letters.
Settle bigger decisions with a match mode that keeps the running score and celebrates the winner automatically.
Flip up to 100 coins at once, or simulate up to 1,000,000 tosses and watch the percentage of heads settle toward 50% on a live chart.

It takes one tap. The extra options are there when you want them.
Need to pick from more than two options? Try the random name picker wheel or the random number generator.
Type what heads and tails mean, pick a coin style and choose Single flip or a Best of 3, 5 or 7 match.
Choose Heads or Tails under Your call if you want to test your luck. Leave it on No call for a plain toss.
Tap the coin, click Flip coin or press the Space bar. The coin spins through the air and lands on a random side.
The winning side appears in large text with your custom label. Stats show totals, percentages, streaks and your call accuracy.
Switch to Multiple coins to toss up to 100 at once, or open the Simulator to run up to a million flips in a second.
A fair coin has two equally likely outcomes, so the chance of heads on any single flip is 1 in 2, or 50%. The same is true for tails.
Every flip is independent: the coin has no memory. After five heads in a row, the next flip is still exactly 50/50. Believing that tails is "due" is called the gambler's fallacy.
Over a few flips, results often look lopsided. In 10 flips, getting exactly 5 heads happens only about 24.6% of the time, while landing between 4 and 6 heads happens about 65.6% of the time. The more you flip, the closer the share of heads gets to 50%, which you can watch happen in the Simulator.
| Same side in a row | Chance for a chosen side | As odds |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | 25% | 1 in 4 |
| 3 | 12.5% | 1 in 8 |
| 4 | 6.25% | 1 in 16 |
| 5 | 3.13% | 1 in 32 |
| 7 | 0.78% | 1 in 128 |
| 10 | 0.098% | 1 in 1,024 |
Almost, but not quite. A large study of 350,757 coin flips found that a real coin lands on the same side it started about 50.8% of the time, because of a slight wobble in the toss. A virtual coin has no starting side and no wobble, so this coin flip is exactly 50/50.
A single toss is perfect for small choices. For bigger ones, a short match feels fairer to everyone involved.
No coin in your pocket? No problem. An online coin flip is faster, fairer and easier to prove than a real one.
No worn edges, no same-side bias and no skilled flicks. Heads and tails are exactly equal on every toss.
Works on phones, tablets and computers, even over a video call where everyone can see the same result.
Copy the result, totals and full history in one click to paste into a group chat, email or classroom report.
Show probability, streaks and the law of large numbers with real data from the multi-coin mode and the simulator chart.
Yes. Each result comes from crypto.getRandomValues, a cryptographically secure random number generator built into your browser. Heads and tails each have exactly a 50% chance, and no flip affects the next.
The odds are 1 in 2, or 50%, on every flip. Over many flips the share of heads moves close to 50%, but short runs often look uneven.
Streaks are normal in random sequences. Three heads in a row happens 12.5% of the time and five in a row about 3% of the time. The next flip is still 50/50.
Yes. Open the Multiple coins tab, choose from 2 to 100 coins and flip them together to see how many land heads and tails.
The coin is flipped until one side wins two flips. Choose Best of 3, 5 or 7 in Match mode and the tool keeps the score and announces the winner.
Yes. Type any two choices, such as Pizza and Tacos, in the Heads means and Tails means fields. The result shows your option instead of heads or tails.
Almost. A study of 350,757 flips found a real coin lands on the same side it started about 50.8% of the time. A virtual coin has no starting side, so it is exactly 50/50.
Heads is traditionally the side with a portrait or the main emblem, and tails is the reverse. On this coin, heads shows a star and the letter H, and tails shows the letter T.
