Resized images
Most resizers upload your photo to a server, split every KB target into a separate page and give you one download at a time. This tool does it all in one place, privately.
Resizing happens inside your browser. That makes it safe for ID photos, signatures and personal documents.
Set a maximum such as 20 KB or 50 KB. The tool finds the highest quality that fits and trims dimensions only if it has to.
Work in px, %, cm, mm or inches with DPI. JPG files keep the DPI you choose, which helps with print and photo forms.
Choose what happens when the shape changes, and pick which part of the photo to keep when cropping. Nothing gets squashed unless you want it to.
Resize up to 30 images with the same settings, then save them one by one or all together in a single ZIP file.
Large reductions are done in several smaller steps. This keeps edges and text cleaner than a single jump.
It takes four quick steps, and you can repeat them with new settings as often as you like.
Drag photos onto the upload box, browse your device or paste with Ctrl+V. You can add up to 30 at once.
Choose a preset, or enter pixels, a percentage or a print size in cm, mm or inches.
Keep the original format or switch to JPG, PNG or WebP. Turn on the KB limit if a website caps file size.
Press Resize images, check the before and after sizes, then download each file or the full ZIP.
Every size below is available in the preset menu, so you can resize an image for a platform with one click.

Job portals, exam forms and government websites often set strict limits for photos and signatures. Here is how to meet them first time.
The tool first lowers JPG quality step by step to fit your limit. If the file is still too large at low quality, it reduces the pixel size slightly and tries again. A badge on the result tells you when this happened.
For tiny limits such as 10 KB or 20 KB, a smaller starting size looks better than heavy compression. A 200 × 230 px photo usually fits easily.
Exam, job and government portals usually ask for a photo and a signature in fixed pixel sizes and KB ranges. The Online forms presets set the size, JPG format and KB limit in one click.
| Upload | Typical size | Typical file size | Preset to use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Passport-style photo | 200 × 230 px or 3.5 × 4.5 cm | 20 KB to 50 KB | Form photo, or Photo 35 × 45 mm |
| Signature | 140 × 60 px | 10 KB to 20 KB | Signature |
| Thumb impression | 240 × 240 px | 20 KB to 50 KB | Thumb impression |
| Scanned document or certificate | A4 at 100 to 150 DPI | 100 KB to 300 KB | Print size with a KB limit |
These are common ranges only. Every portal sets its own rules, so always follow the exact size and KB limits in the official notice.
Right-sized images save time for you and for everyone who opens them.
Screens use pixels. Printers use physical size and dots per inch (DPI). To convert a print size into pixels, divide by 2.54 and multiply by the DPI.
Pixels = cm ÷ 2.54 × DPI
Width: 3.5 cm ÷ 2.54 × 300 = 413 px
Height: 4.5 cm ÷ 2.54 × 300 = 531 px
Passport photo at 300 DPI = 413 × 531 px
Yes. The image resizer is free, needs no sign-up and adds no watermark. Your photos are processed inside your browser and are never uploaded to a server.
Add your image, turn on Limit file size and enter 50, or tap the 50 KB button. Then press Resize images. The tool lowers JPG quality step by step and reduces the dimensions only if it needs to.
Making an image smaller keeps detail well, because large reductions are done in several steps. Making an image larger cannot add detail, so it looks softer beyond about 150%. Very small KB limits also add visible compression.
Choose a passport preset, or select Print size and enter the size, for example 35 × 45 mm at 300 DPI. Keep Crop to fill selected so the photo is not stretched. Always follow the official rules for size, background and file size.
Resizing changes the width and height in pixels. Compressing keeps the dimensions and reduces the file size by encoding the image more efficiently. To shrink files without changing dimensions, use our image compressor.
