Recording options
Pop the webcam out into a floating window, then record your entire screen to include your face.
Many free screen recorders cap your video at an hour, save only WebM, push a desktop launcher or upload your footage to their cloud. This one keeps everything in your browser and gives you studio-grade options.
Every recording is clean and full length. No watermark, no one-hour cap, no account and no trial countdown.
Choose 720p, 1080p, 1440p, 4K or your screen's native size, at 30 or 60 frames per second for smooth demos and scrolling.
Narrate with your microphone while capturing tab or system sound. Both are mixed into one clean audio track automatically.
Turn on your camera and pop it out into a floating window so your face appears in tutorials, reviews and presentations.
Video is recorded and saved by your own browser. Nothing is uploaded, so confidential dashboards and meetings stay on your computer.
Pause to skip the dull parts, grab PNG screenshots mid-recording and keep every take in a list until you download it.

Pick the resolution, frame rate and format. Switch Microphone and System / tab audio on or off, and choose your mic from the list.
Click Turn on webcam, then Pop out bubble to float your camera above other windows. Drag it to any corner of your screen.
Your browser shows a picker: a tab, a window or your entire screen. To capture sound, tick Share tab audio or Share system audio before clicking Share.
The timer shows elapsed time, also in the page title. Pause whenever you need to and use Screenshot to save a PNG of the current frame.
Click Stop & save here or Stop sharing in the browser bar. Watch the video, rename it and click Download to save the MP4 or WebM file.
What you pick in the browser's sharing picker decides what appears in the video and which sound you can include.

Great screen recordings are easy to follow and free of distractions. A few minutes of preparation makes a big difference.
Recording in your browser skips installers, admin rights and accounts, which makes it ideal on work laptops and shared computers.
Works on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS without admin permission, plug-ins or extensions.
No account, no cloud storage and no one else can see your videos. They disappear when you close the tab.
MP4 videos upload straight to YouTube, Google Drive, Slack, Teams, email or your learning platform.
The recorder loads instantly and uses your computer's built-in video encoder, so it stays smooth during long sessions.
Most problems come from operating system permissions or the options chosen in the sharing picker.
Open System Settings, Privacy & Security, Screen & System Audio Recording. Turn on your browser, then quit and reopen it before recording again.
For website sound, share a Chrome or Edge tab and tick Share tab audio. For all computer sound, share the entire screen and tick Share system audio (Windows and ChromeOS). Check that Microphone is switched on.
Clicking Stop sharing, closing the shared tab or closing the shared window ends the recording. Don't worry: the video up to that point is saved in Your recordings.
Lower the quality to 1080p or 720p and use 30 fps. Close heavy apps while recording. Static screens make small files; fast motion makes larger ones.
Yes, completely. There is no sign-up, no watermark, no time limit and no paid upgrade. Record and download as many videos as you like.
No. Videos are saved exactly as captured, with no logo, banner or intro added.
No. Your browser's built-in Screen Capture API records and stores the video on your device. Nothing is sent to our server, and recordings are cleared when you close or reload the page, so download the ones you want to keep.
Yes. Turn on Microphone to narrate. To include computer sound, share a Chrome or Edge tab and tick Share tab audio, or share your entire screen and tick Share system audio on Windows or ChromeOS. Both sources are mixed into one track.
Yes. Click Turn on webcam, then Pop out bubble to float your camera above other windows. Share your entire screen so the bubble is recorded along with everything else.
There is no fixed limit. Video is kept in your computer's memory, so long recordings are possible. At 1080p expect roughly 20 to 50 MB per minute. For very long sessions, record in parts.
MP4 plays almost everywhere, including Windows, Mac, phones, PowerPoint and social media. WebM is the native format for Chrome and Firefox and works well on the web. Choose MP4 if your browser offers it.
Mobile browsers don't let websites capture the screen. Use the built-in recorder instead: on iPhone add Screen Recording to Control Center, and on Android open Quick Settings and tap Screen record.
macOS needs permission first. Open System Settings, Privacy & Security, Screen & System Audio Recording, turn your browser on, then quit and reopen it.
Show a bug, explain a process or walk through a presentation in minutes. Free, private, watermark-free and ready in your browser.
